the title is finbar & fiona and is the story of an adorable kitten (fiona) who tries her best to befriend her family’s houseplant. (&its also available at barnes&noble)
here’s a little sneak peek! the illustrations were done in one of my favorite styles, in ink & watercolor.
i really enjoyed the process & would love to do this again if the opportunity presents itself!

on the knitting front — i’ve finished my picot peds! i used the pom pom peds pattern from the purl bee & they’re adorable & fit me so perfectly that i’ve already casted on another pair !

& with making all these paintings & drawings i’ve needed to get a new way to organize my pens & brushes. i bought this piece of wood for 25 cents at the thrift store & glued different sized cups to it before spray painting it gold. it works wonderfully !
on the needles, i’m working on a new design in this silk (my favorite color)! soon to be a lacy tee !
i’ve been on a diy beauty products kick lately, particularly natural ones. i read about how the rms living luminizer is an amazing natural product that is used on all sorts of celebrities for a sheer “lit from within” glow. looking at the ingredients, they were so simple & natural that i thought i could make it myself without paying almost $40 for such a small container. it turned out beautifully & i took notes on what worked !
