pattern : cancun boxy lace top !

i’ve finished my cancun top that i wrote about in this previous post! i really love how it turned out & it was so simple i’ve decided to offer the pattern for free !

this top is knit in two lace & garter stitch rectangles & seamed at the sides & shoulders to create the boxy shape. it’s a really quick knit & perfect for warm weather !

(thanks to my sister for modeling !)

love folded-up knits!! this is the yarn i used, i absolutely love the pinky-tan colorway with little gold specks (impossible to photography correctly!)

if you’re interested in making your own, you can download the pattern now

update : this pattern was featured on the lucky ewe podcast !

update 2.0 : this pattern is now available in french thanks to the translation of Marjolaine of www.planete-laine.com , thank you !!
update 3.0 : this pattern is now available as a youtube tutorial thanks to ravelry user iknitsonyoutub !

fawns, flowers, bicycles, gold !

i’ve been keeping up with my painting a week challenge, above is “spring”

& “lock”
i used micron pens & watercolors for these !

& an ultra-simple project — my mom sent me this phone case that she thought i would like & i decided to make it myself since it seemed so simple! this martha stewart gold paint is really pigmented & not too expensive

i’ve also sped through my cancun lacy top! one of the pieces is blocking & one is just at the cast off edge. i’m totally in love with the yarn i’m using: blue heron rayon metallic. i bought it at vogue knitting live a few years ago, the little specks of gold are perfect !
